Get help

If you are stuck, start by narrowing down what you are trying to do, checking the guide for the Tool you are using, and then trying the workflow again with a small sample File.

You do not need to have everything figured out before asking for help. A clear goal, a small example, and a note about what happened are usually enough to get pointed in the right direction.

For first-time users

If you are new to WebHammers, start with the basics:

  1. What is WebHammers
  2. Quickstart: First workflow
  3. Choose the right Tool

These pages help you understand what WebHammers is for, how a typical workflow runs, and which Tool best matches your task.

For Tool-specific help

If you already know which Tool you are using, open that Tool's guide and review:

  • the Tool overview
  • when to use the Tool
  • Configuration guidance
  • Run guidance
  • Tool examples and FAQ

The examples and FAQ are often the fastest place to look when something almost works but needs a small adjustment.

If something does not work as expected

When a workflow gives an unexpected result, try these steps first:

  1. Confirm that you selected the right Tool for the task.
  2. Recheck the Configuration settings for the Tool you are using.
  3. Run the workflow again with a smaller sample File.
  4. Compare the output with what you expected to happen.
  5. Review the Tool FAQ for common setup or data issues.

This usually makes the problem easier to explain and easier to fix.

Report a bug

If you encounter a bug while using WebHammers, click Report a bug in the bottom-left corner of the page.

When possible, include what you were trying to do, which Tool you were using, and what happened. Screenshots, sample Files, or steps to reproduce the issue can also help the team investigate. Do not include sensitive data unless your organization has approved sharing it for support.

Information to gather

It helps to gather:

  • the Tool you were using
  • a short description of the goal
  • what happened versus what you expected
  • whether the issue is reproducible on a small sample File
